Good Company is a Respite Care ministry that creates a place where individuals with memory loss can experience joy, connection, and belonging.
Good Company operates with the belief that even in the midst of dementia, life can be full of purpose, laughter, and meaningful relationships.
We find that caregivers experience overwhelming relief when their loved ones are a part of Good Company. The resources, wisdom, and community of support help remind people that they are not alone during a challenging and deeply meaningful part of life’s journey.
Good Company, founded in 2026, is inspired by the numerous stories of people who are impacted by dementia and other memory-related conditions. “Meaningful care is not only about meeting needs, but about creating spaces where people feel known, welcomed, and valued,” says Saint Mark member, Ed Randle. After 47 years of marriage to his wife Barbara, Ed found himself navigating a new world filled with questions, uncertainty, and moments of both loss and unexpected connection. Ed’s experience at Encore — a partner ministry through Respite for All — helped him find the community of support he needed.
That spirit of connection continues at Good Company, and we pray that you’ll find the same sense of empowerment for your journey.
“As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” – Colossians 3:12-14

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
Since 2023, caregivers of loved ones with dementia have found a home at Saint Mark. Caregivers gather for support on Fridays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in Room 202. You can expect to share stories with others who understand the unique challenges of caring for loved ones with dementia. You’ll experience a gracious and warm hearted community that’s complete with (perfectly) irreverent humor, chocolate, enrichment resources, and one more extra large helping of chocolate. Grace abounds!
