The Good Neighbor Fellowship provides an opportunity for Birmingham area adults with mental challenges to gather with friends and share food, fun and fellowship. Saint Mark member Margaret Alexander began this outreach ministry about 15 years ago with less than 10 participants. Today, the program continues to flourish and has grown to an average participation of 40 to 50 including volunteers. Participants come from as far away as Ashville, Trussville and Midfield and represent many denominations. The number of participants and, more importantly, their enthusiasm and excitement continue to grow.

At first glance, it is clear that this ministry provides a very special time for participants. Another glance or two may very well reveal something else that the volunteers look forward to this time together as much as the participants. If you want to experience some of the unconditional love that Christ calls on us to exhibit –this is the place!
