Our "Wonderful Wednesdays" are held throughout the school year and offer a fellowship meal beginning at 5:00 p.m., a variety of Bible study classes for adults starting after the meal and many classes and programs for children from ages 3K to 12th grade, some beginning at 5:30 p.m. The 2017-2018 season will start September 6, 2017. Check out our brochure for more details.
Here's the menu and directions for making reservations.
We will have two adult studies offered:
Drew Clayton and Ryan Karr will be leading a class that is open to all and no class materials are needed. The class will focus on expanding the sermon topics, having some interactive discussion, a chance to ask questions and delve into a variety of topics. The textbook will be the Bible and there will be handouts for the passage that will be under discussion.
If you would like to participate, please call the church office (822-5980).
Topical Study on Wonderful Wednesdays
This class is carrying forward a topical study we began in the Spring. The members of the class have written down various issues or topics that they either do not understand what Scripture teaches or they want more Biblical perspective on a certain cultural issue. These topics are anonymously written on pieces of paper and put into a jar. Each week, one piece of paper is drawn from the jar and the class spends the week searching for answers in God's Word. We come back together the next week and discuss what we've found. Examples of topics discussed in the past include,
How do we keep the Sabbath Holy?
Why are foods unclean in the Old Testament, but we eat those foods today?
What's the difference between salvation by faith vs. salvation by works?
What does it mean to abide in the vine?
The class members continue to add new topics to the jar as we go and we encourage anyone interested to join us and add new topics to our jar! The overall purpose of this class is to learn how to find the answer to things in the Bible and to use God's Word as the ultimate reference
guide to our questions. There's no required material for this class, other than your Bible. Contact Marcie Morris if interested: email@example.com.
